Serverless360: Major Product Update and Simplified Pricing

Categories: Serverless360

We are happy to release the latest version of Serverless360 with additional capabilities. You can signup/login straight away and see all of them in action.

New Simplified Pricing

We received a lot of feedback after our v1 release back in December especially around pricing at entities level (Queues, Topics, Relays and Event Hubs).

So we went back to the drawing board and restructured our entire pricing and made it simpler and attractive.

Now you pay a flat price at namespace level ($15/namespace) in spite of the number of entities you have within the namespace. We also provide 3 namespaces completely free.

Send Events to Azure Event Hubs

You can now send sample event data from Serverless360 to any associated Event Hub. Users can configure parameters like Event Message, Partition Key, Think Time, Task Count, Event Data Count, Send Batch, Custom Properties, and Partition Id before initiating the Send Events Process.

This could be a valuable feature for people who are testing IoT or any Event Hub scenarios.

What’s coming next? In the future release, we will be adding support for sending messages to queues, topics, and relays. We are also going to add support for storing multiple sample data scenarios and scheduled transmission (ex: send messages between 4 to 6 pm at 100 milliseconds interval).

Governance and Auditing

Administrators can now track the user activities on the Operations tab of Serverless360. They can easily know who did what changes on which metrics of which entity at what time. The alert history and emails sent are available for a period of 7 days.

Edit and Save Entity Properties

Now you can edit the Service Bus Entity (Queue, Topic and Event Hub) properties easily. We also introduced the functionality of adding comments while editing and saving the properties (as part of Governance/Auditing). Example: “Changed Auto Delete Idle time from 2 hours to 5 hours”, which will be useful in a production environment to keep track of changes.

Other Key Enhancements

  1. You can now associate a namespace to one specific type – either Messaging, Relay or Event Hub namespaces. This enhancement is based on the recent changes to the Azure Infrastructure as per the Microsoft Azure announcement.
  2. Users can associate namespaces with custom connection strings created using “Manage Claims” option

We believe some of the features we have added in this release will be very valuable for customers who are using Azure Service Bus. Why not give it a try?
